ABSTRACT

The increasing trend of population growth has led to the competition for the use of existing resources, leading humans to forget the focus on sustainability. This raises the need of waste minimization and utilization. Aquaculture system although generates a huge amount of wastewater but today, aquaculture stands imperative because of the increasing demand for fish. The objective of aquaculture expansion is to produce more aquaculture products without significantly increasing the use of scarce natural resources, develop sustainable aquaculture systems which are eco-friendly and build up systems that provides an equitable cost-benefit ratio to support economic and social sustainability.
