Use of Artificial Intelligence in Indian Agriculture

This article provides a brief overview of new technologies based on artificial intelligence and the way it is currently being used by research scientists and extension professionals to address problems of agricultural production and management in India. With the advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, farmers can monitor the well-being of their crops or the movement of their animals without going into their farm making the farming less labour-intensive, and more efficient. This article has cited some AI-based intervention in Indian agriculture and highlights the role of agricultural extension in assessing the technologies.
