ABSTRACT
Crop is adversely affected by environmental stress which includes heat, drought, salinity, cold, chemical and excess water. Global wheat production is predicted to decline by 6% for every 1°C rise in temperature. Loss in crop yield through climate change in wheat, rice, maize and mustard are 9, 12, 18 and 12 %, respectively. Various agronomic approaches such as water conservation techniques, sowing time, planting methods and weather-based approaches are cost effective to manage the heat stress. With the help of predicted weather information, we can manage our crops at a minimum cost in an effective manner.
