ABSTRACT

The application of fertilizer in today’s agriculture is incredibly ineffective; a huge amount of the applied fertilizer is lost, which degrades the environment. Enhancing crop nutrient uptake through the use of biostimulants is one strategy to decrease fertilizer consumption without compromising plant growth. In contrast to pesticides and nutrients, biostimulants are compounds or materials that, whenever given to crops, seedlings, or growth mediums in specific composition, can altering plant physiological processes in a way that may enhance development, growth, or stress response. This article focuses the beneficial impacts of biostimulants on nutrient uptake and growth of plants.
