Agriculture is a source of livelihood for more than two third of our population in India. But before 1950, the Indian Agricultural system was not strong enough as today and hence, the production was not sufficient to fulfill the demand for food with the increasing population. Today with the development of various agricultural technologies/systems precision agriculture has emerged as important way of resource management to re-organise the total system of agriculture towards low-input, high-efficiency and sustainable agriculture.
