ABSTRACT

Global information exchange has been completely transformed by the introduction of open access (OA) and licensing in academic publication, which has rendered research outputs like books and journal articles instantly, freely and online available. The article examines the beneficial aspects of open access publishing, emphasizing how it can reduce access fees and increase engagement of researcher. Gold, Green, Hybrid, Bronze, Diamond and Black open access practices are among them; each has unique requirements for cost, accessibility and reuse policies. The article emphasizes the expanding recognize of open access among users and publishers, highlighting the increasing prevalence of freely accessible articles alongside the pivotal role of licensing in shaping dissemination practices.
