ABSTRACT
Environmental stresses, such as biotic, abiotic, and other environmental extremes have key impact on low crop yields, reduced plant growth as well as biomass production, thus, causing drastic loss in crop productivity. Signal transduction transmitted through a cell as a series of molecular events, where most commonly protein phosphorylation is catalysed by protein kinases and ultimately results in a cellular response. Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase (MAPK) modules contain consecutively activated protein kinases, which are the key components of signal transduction pathways and indirectly involved incell division, cellular differentiation, metabolism, and stress responses.
