Impact of nanofertilizers on physiology and biochemistry of plants

Excessive use of chemical fertilizers to increase the crop productivity will deteriorate the soil health in a long run. Nanotechnology has potential to curtail the fertilizer application rate, to reduce adverse impact on environment and to boost plant productivity. Nanofertilizers play significant role in various physiological and biochemical processes in the plant system which alleviate the abiotic stress, such as salt and water stress and also they activate the resistance genes to induce defensive mechanism against various plant growth constraints. This article gives brief idea about effect of nanofertilizers on various physiological and biochemical properties of plant.
