Livestock sector is crutial for the rural economy, especially for the small and marginal farmers as it contributes not only to the income and employment but also to their best insurance against any natural calamities. The present COVID-19 pandemic may have some adverse impacts on fodder and livestock sector which need to be thought upon and suitable short- and long-term strategies are to be made readily available for mitigating such calamities if occur in future.In this article some strategies has been suggested to mitigate this situation.
