ABSTRACT
Indian farmers use traditional methods for applying pesticides, fertilizers, composts, and seeds, among other things. There is a need for technological development in this area as the current methods for applying pesticides and fertilizers take more time and are less effective. The COVID-19 pandemic makes it extremely challenging for conventional farmers to oversee the application of fertilizer, pesticides, and crop management. The use of drones in agriculture is an effective way to get around these challenges. Drones have the potential to completely transform Indian agriculture. Use of drone monitoring systems equips farmers with the aerial views of farmlands that help them monitor water systems, soil types, pests, and disease infestations. Availability of such information on a regular basis enables farmers to make necessary adjustments for improved crop management. The potential use of drones may captivate young people and inspire them to pursue agriculture. Drones can play a significant part in the data-driven next agricultural revolution.
