Brown Stripe Downy Mildew Disease of Corn – Sclerophthara rayssiae var. zeae in Karnataka

ABSTRACT

Corn is one of the important cereal crops in the world. It has greater adaptability in a wide range of climate conditions. Corn production is threatened by several diseases, of Brown Stripe Downy Mildew (BSDM) is caused by Sclerophthara rayssiae var. zeae, and leads to huge loss to the maize growers in different parts of India. As a result of this potential impact, rapid detection and diagnosis of brown stripe downy mildew are essential.
