ABSTRACT

Diseases cause significant yield and quality losses on onion crops and could be grouped as seed and seedling diseases, root and bulb diseases, foliage diseases, and non-infectious disorders. The crop is attacked by many pathogens, but fungal pathogens are the important limiting factor in the yield and quality of the crop. The present article is mainly focused on important fungal diseases associated with the crop and their eco-friendly and economical means of biological management. The antagonistic effect of various bioagents and antifungal activity of different plant extracts has been studied for the management of fungal diseases in Allium vegetables.
