ABSTRACT


Today food-producing sectors, including fisheries, are recognized as the most energy-intensive method because it depends entirely on fossil fuel energy. On the other side, continuous rising in fossil fuel prices affects the fishermen`s cost-benefit ratio, besides releasing high CO2 in the atmosphere. The fuel and energy optimization in fishing may uplift the fishermen`s profitability with increasing eco-sustainability in the fisheries.
