This technology`s precision and efficiency enable significant advancements in various applications, including hybrid seed production, enhancing seed oil composition, reducing seed dormancy, and modifying seed storage proteins. By editing genes like FAD2, OsVP1, and others, CRISPR-Cas9 facilitates improvements in crop yield, quality, and resilience. This article explores these groundbreaking applications, highlighting CRISPR-Cas9`s potential to drive future innovations in agricultural research and seed science.
